FAQs
Do you Deliver?

We offer a free local delivery service (Within 20 miles or so). Outside this area we make a nominal charge to cover fuel. Our prices are extremely keen and we don't have a large profit margin. 'Free delivery' might mean that you've paid a bit too much!
How long will it take to get my new bed?

If it's in stock then you can take it away or we can arrange to deliver it for you. If we have to order it for you then it can take a little longer.
How can I pay?
We take a variety of Credit and Debit cards and of course, cash is always welcome.
Can you take my old bed away?

This can be arranged, it does depend on the delivery area, please ask when you place your order.
If you have any further questions then please do not hesitate to Contact Us and we will do our best to answer & oblige.
Top Tips - How to choose your new bed!
Here are a few general points to think about before you go shopping for your new bed from The Bed Shop in Ashby:
Type

What sort of style do you prefer? What do you like or dislike
about your current bed? Do you prefer a firmer or softer feel?

Price

We suggest that you spend as much as you can on your new
bed as you will be spending on average around 3,000 hours
(over 120 full days) a year in bed!

Size

Being disturbed by a sleeping partner is one of the most
common complaints. With a larger bed you are less likely to
disturb one another. You should be able to lie side by side, with
your arms behind your head and your elbows out, without
touching. Your bed should also be 10-15cm (4-6in) longer than
the tallest partner – anyone over 6ft (1.8m) tall should consider
a bed longer than standard. Mattresses are available
up to 6'0'' (180cm) width x 6'6'' (200cm) long.
TYPICAL UK BED SIZES: NAME IMPERIAL SIZE METRIC SIZE
Single 3’0” x 6’3” 90 x 190cm
Small Double 4’0” x 6’3” 120 x 190cm
Double 4’6” x 6’3” 135 x 190cm
King 5’0” x 6’6” 150 x 200cm
Super King 6’0” x 6’6” 180 x 200cm

Check dimensions

Bed sizes are not standardised and even if they have the same
name (e.g King size) they may not be exactly the same size.
Please ensure you buy your mattress and base together.
The two are engineered to work together and a change of base
will affect the feel and performance of the mattress.

Access

If you are worried about getting the bed upstairs, remember all
of our double size divans have split bases. You should however
tell us about potential access problems before you
buy to avoid any potential problems with delivery.
